Sustainable cotton tea bag used for Himalayan tea packaging

FIELD REPORT NO. 008

The Philosophy of Sustainable Packaging

A

At The Great Himalayan Tea Atelier, our responsibility does not end with the harvest. It ends when the last leaf has been steeped and the packaging returns to the earth. To package a 3,000m-altitude tea in cheap materials would be a betrayal of the mountain itself.

The Anatomy of the Atelier Box

  • The Outer Shell: FSC-certified, recycled pulp paper with a “linen” texture. Designed as a permanent vessel.
  • The UV Barrier: A compostable, metal-free lining that protects the delicate L-Theanine from light degradation.
  • The Ink: Non-toxic, soy-based dyes that ensure the “Atelier Green” leaves no chemical footprint.
